Who can borrow and what are the documents/details required?
Badabro provides loans to college students and salaried professionals, as per below mentioned documents/details:

College Students:

  • Attained the age of 18 years
  • Valid college ID card or any other similar document
  • PAN card and Aadhaar are mandatory as ID and address proof
  • Last 3 months Bank Statement
  • Other document/details

Salaried professionals:
  • PAN card and Aadhaar are mandatory as ID and address proof
  • Last 3 months Bank Statement (showing Salary Credits)
  • Latest salary slip & Offer/Joining Letter
  • Other document/details

What are the loan limits available for Salaried professionals/students?
College student: Initial borrowing limit of INR 500. Borrowing limit may increase up to INR 10,000 over time based on repayment track record and other factors.
Salaried professional: Initial borrowing limit of INR 500 or higher subject to documents submitted. Borrowing limit may increase up to INR 20,000 over time based on repayment track record and other factors.

What is the Profile Creation Process?
Please follow the following steps:

Salaried professionals:

  • Step 1. Download Badabro app from Google Playstore
  • Step 2. Verify your mobile number via OTP
  • Step 3. Sign up using Google/FB account
  • Step 4. Create your profile password
  • Step 5. Choose your occupation
  • Step 6. Upload your KYC documents and other information
  • Step 7. Create a selfie video
  • Step 8. Wait for your profile to get approved (this can take between 10 minutes to a few hours)
  • Step 9. Once notified of approval, borrow money instantly into your bank account

I am unable to register from my second device.

Aadhaar/PAN Card mandatory?
Yes.

What if I do not have a salary slip?
Salary slip is mandatory.

Last 3 months Bank statement mandatory?
Yes.

Do I have to submit hard copies of my documents?
No, you do not need to submit any hard copies of your document. The Profile Creation process with Badabro is online and paperless.
You just need to fill in the required details and upload photos of required documents. Once your profile is approved you can borrow money instantly.

How will I know what changes/updates I need to make in my profile?
Messages from BadaBro about incomplete profile will be sent via app notifications/text/Email. Also, the profile section will display the incomplete sections with related pop-up messages intimating changes required.

How long does it take to get my Profile approved?
Upon successful Profile completion, approval process may take up to 24 hours under normal conditions. Of course, BadaBro endeavors to approve as quickly as possible.

I accidentally chose different occupation.

How is the credit limit decided?
BadaBro provides all approved users with a basic limit of Rs. 1,000/-. The credit limit assigned to a user is dynamic in nature and it may go UP or DOWN, as decided by our proprietary algorithm, basis several factors.

How to increase my Credit Limit?
Good repayment history is one of the primary factors leading to an increase in credit limits. Also, other factors like referring friends, regular transactions and additional information/details provided are also important.

I just repaid my loan. Why did my credit limit not increase?
Timely repayment of a loan is one of the most important factors contributing to higher limits, however it does not mean that each repayment will lead to higher limits. Other factors also play an important role towards increase of limits.

How do I get money?
During loan disbursement, user may choose between Bank account or Paytm wallet, basis which loan amount will be disbursed. In case of bank account, please make sure that correct details are entered. Also, in case of multiple bank accounts added to BadaBro, please mark the desired bank account for disbursement as “Primary Bank account”.

I have submitted my loan request, but yet to receive funds?
Once the “Profile” has been created, BadaBro credit team approves the “Profile” and assigns credit limit. Post approval, you need to choose the desired loan amount and it gets disbursed instantly upon accepting the terms and conditions.

How long does it take to get money in my PayTM wallet?
In case you have chosen Paytm as the “Primary Bank account”, the disbursement is instant.

How long does it take to get money in my bank account?
Loan disbursement in Bank account may take upto 24 hours to process. In case of non-working days (weekend or bank holiday) in between, disbursement may take longer.

The transaction screen shows my loan was processed but I have not received the money?
In case “Primary account” chosen is a Bank account, disbursement may take up to 24 hours to process. In case of non-working days (weekend or bank holiday) in between, disbursement may take longer.

It has been more than 24 hours. Why have I not received money in my bank?
Kindly check whether the IFSC code and Bank account details of your Bank account are correct. In case of multiple bank accounts added to your profile, disbursement will be done in the account marked “Primary”.

How can I repay the loan amount?
Please visit the transactions page on BadaBro app where due dates and amount due will be visible. Click on “Pay Now” to repay the loan at any time via payment options provided.

Do I have to repay less if I pay early?
No, the entire amount payable is due for repayment. In case one requires shorter repayment period, please select appropriate loan tenure in future transactions.

What if I repay late?
Repayment beyond due date impacts your credit limit negatively. Also, a daily penalty per day will be levied basis how long the loan remains unpaid.

What if I do not repay?
BadaBro endeavors to be your online elder brother, and we would like to be thought of as a friend. And just like a friend, we understand you may face financial difficulties at times. We request you to get in touch with us at helpcenter@badabro.com to make the repayment as flexible for you as possible.

However, in case of intentional defaults or evasive borrower behavior, please remember that each loan is backed by a digitally signed legal contract which allows us to take the following steps:

  • CIBIL Score downgrade leading to
    • Difficulty in getting future loans from any Bank/NBFC in India.
    • Difficulty in getting Jobs where CIBIL is used for checking financial behavior.
  • Legal action from our NBFC partner.
